overview
A temporal meditation on loneliness and the burden of eternity
Daydream is the first original song by Ouro Kronii, the Warden of Time from hololive English -Council-, released on February 21, 2022. The track carries a bittersweet quality — its lyrics imply that Kronii is resigned to outliving everyone, watching time flow endlessly to the end of all things. Originally titled “Nightmare,” the song was renamed “Daydream” by Kronii's manager, reframing the melancholy into something more wistful. As MV editor, LUMINA translated this temporal loneliness into visual form.
MV editing for a visual narrative of time and solitude
The music video required a visual language that could capture Kronii's character as the Warden of Time — emphasizing clock mechanics, temporal metaphors, and the isolation of existing outside conventional time. Drawing inspiration from the TV series “Loki,” the production incorporated light pillars and streaking designs representing different timelines, complemented by glowing cursive text elements interpreting hololive English lore. Every scene was designed to function as a standalone desktop wallpaper, requiring meticulous attention to composition and visual balance.

process
From Nightmare to Daydream — visual storytelling through time
Kronii provided specific creative direction: the MV should include clock ticks and monologue elements that reinforced her character as the Warden of Time. These audio-visual anchors became the backbone of the editing strategy, punctuating scenes with rhythmic reminders of temporal passage. The result is a multimedia experience that goes beyond traditional music video conventions, integrating sound design as a compositional element alongside the visuals.
LUMINA drew visual inspiration from the TV series “Loki,” incorporating light pillar and streaking designs representing different timelines branching and converging throughout the narrative. Glowing cursive text elements were used to interpret hololive English lore, adding layers of character depth and worldbuilding to the visual language. The production required approximately 60 hours of work including 4K rendering, with every scene designed to function as a standalone desktop wallpaper — ensuring that even individual frames carry aesthetic weight and contemplative power.
The careful balance between temporal mechanics and emotional resonance defined the production's visual approach. Clock imagery, timeline visualizations, and text elements work in concert to create a meditation on the burden of witness — observing all moments simultaneously while unable to truly inhabit any single one.

impact
Establishing LUMINA's partnership with hololive English -Council-
Daydream established LUMINA's working relationship with hololive English -Council- beyond the Myth generation, opening doors for future collaborations with the newer talent cohort. The MV's quality and attention to detail set a high standard for Kronii's visual identity, informing the design language used in her subsequent content.
The production demonstrated LUMINA's capability to handle character-driven narratives with nuanced emotional depth — moving beyond high-energy music videos into territory that explores loneliness, temporal philosophy, and introspective storytelling. The 4K rendering and wallpaper-quality framing became a signature approach for future projects, influencing how LUMINA approaches MV composition and technical execution across all subsequent work with the hololive network.
