TAKO∞TAKOVER is the fourth original single by Ninomae Ina'nis, released on January 7, 2026 under hololive RECORDS. The track is a lyrical hardcore anthem characterized by explosive energy, rapid-fire wordplay, and dense layers of references to Ina's streaming persona and community culture. As MV director, LMNQ was responsible for the entire visual narrative of the music video.
The song envisions a playful apocalypse where the Takodachis — Ina's mascot followers — have taken over the world. The title itself carries layered meaning: “TAKO” refers to the Takodachis, while “TAKOVER” doubles as both “takeover” and “(it's) over” — representing one possible ending to the Ninomae cinematic series. The infinity symbol (∞) is a figure eight turned sideways, referencing the eight tentacles of a Takodachi.
role & scope
MV direction for a lyrical hardcore visual experience
The music video required a visual language that could match the track's relentless energy — blending 2D animation, 3D assets, and motion graphics into a cohesive high-speed narrative. The creative direction leaned into vibrant violet tones and tentacle motifs, translating Ina's persona into an overwhelming visual takeover that mirrors the song's theme.

process
From concert chant to cinematic MV
Ina's creative brief was clear: a fun, high-energy song that fans could chant live at her upcoming concert. Fellow hololive EN -Myth- member Mori Calliope was brought on as lyricist for her unique ability to write bilingual lyrics (Japanese and English) and her deep familiarity with Ina's stream references and inside jokes. The result is a lyric sheet packed with puns, callbacks, and community memes that reward close listening.
The MV production was a collaborative effort spanning multiple creative disciplines. The visual approach centered on capturing the song's theme of overwhelm and takeover — using rapid cuts, dynamic camera work, and escalating visual density to mirror the track's accelerating intensity. The infinity symbol motif recurs throughout the video as both a design element and a narrative device.
The song was recorded on September 18, 2025, with the music video premiering on January 7, 2026. The premiere attracted significant community engagement, with thousands of viewers in the waiting room before the video went live.

impact
From single to EP — a milestone in Ina's discography
TAKO∞TAKOVER distinguished itself from Ina's previous original works like “VIOLET” and “TEMARI” through its thematic pivot toward pure fan celebration — a lyrical hardcore anthem designed as much for concert chanting as for casual listening. The song's release generated immediate buzz in the VTuber community, driving a surge of fan art and community activity.
On February 2, 2026, TAKO∞TAKOVER was included as the fourth track on Ninomae Ina'nis's debut EP “re:VISION” (CVRD-695), a seven-track collection that compiled all of Ina's original works alongside two new songs. The EP represents a culmination of the visual and musical universe that began with VIOLET in 2021 — a journey that LMNQ has been part of from the very beginning.
